Ingenius, Inventive and Effective: Rhodesian Weapons, Modifications, and Adaptations for the Bush War

The Rhodesian Bush War was a conflict between the productive, successful Anglo-European led nation of Rhodesia and Communist Terrorists sponsored by China, North Korea, the Soviet Union and Cuba. The Marxist Mob was aided and abetted by Closet Commies and Bureacrat Bosheviks in Great Britian and other nations. They inflicted heavy economic sanctions and trade embargoes on the liberty loving land. Rhodesia did not dispair, but turned to innovation in weapons and tactics to overcome their material disadvantages.

From a Rand Report, 1991: "The Rhodesians made innovative and inexpensive modifications to ordinary military and commercial vehicles that dramatically reduced the deaths and injuries suffered by passengers traveling in vehicles that struck land mines (e.g. filling tires with water and air to dissipate the explosive force). Such modifications had the additional benefit of instilling confidence in troops and enabled the security forces to retain control over the countryside by defeating the guerrillas' attemps to the force the army into a 'garrison mentality' by making road travel dangerous (if not impossible)."
