Anthem for Ground Troops: I Wish I Were a Blue Job by John Edmund, Slideshow of Rhodesian Bush War
John Edmund was a talented Rhodesian singer-songwriter and soldier known for his humorous songs and dedication to his country. He served in the Rhodesian Army during the Rhodesian Bush War, where he fought valiantly for his homeland. Despite the dangers of war, John continued to pursue his passion for music, often performing for his fellow soldiers and lifting their spirits. His music, which often reflected his experiences and emotions during the war, became a symbol of hope and resilience for many Rhodesians.
Rhodesia was a great and productive nation, before being destroyed by Communist Terrorist insurgents funded by China, North Korea, the Soviet Union and Cuba.
Lyrics:
Sometimes I wish I was a Blue Job, up in the sky
I wouldn't have to walk if I could fly
But, I'll be a Brown Job until I die
With ten years to go in the R.L.I.
The Sergeant that signed me up
Had a face like the back of a truck
A tattoo on each knee
And legs like a Mukwa tree
And the Medic that did my test
He left me standing in my vest
And then when I didn't see
He stamped me with a T.A.P.
Sometimes I wish I was a Blue Job, up in the sky
I wouldn't have to walk if I could fly
But, I'll be a Brown Job until I die
With ten years to go in the R.L.I.
Down at the quartermaster store
I said I take size 4
They gave me size 3 for sports
It was a pair of open neck shorts
I was in the cookhouse queue
Waiting for my beans and stew
The cook just winks at me
And slips the bluestone in my tea
Sometimes I wish I was a Blue Job, up in the sky
I wouldn't have to walk if I could fly
But, I'll be a Brown Job until I die
With ten years to go in the R.L.I.
Standing on parade
Never get a bit of shade
Out in the blazing sun
With the temperature a hundred and one
And you know there's nothing worse
Than doing the assault course
When the sweat is running free
And it smells like a chipotle
Sometimes I wish I was a Blue Job, up in the sky
I wouldn't have to walk if I could fly
But, I'll be a Brown Job until I die
With ten years to go in the R.L.I.
We had a contact the other day
But the terrs all ran away
We were firing the M.A.G.
From the hip like Audie Murphy
So if I go up in a puff of smoke
It's better than being a slope
Or a fuzz from the B.S.A.P.
I'd very much rather be me
Sometimes I wish I was a Blue Job, up in the sky
I wouldn't have to walk if I could fly
But, I'll be a Brown Job until I die
With ten years to go in the R.L.I.

Make Zimbabwe Rhodesia Again
Make Rhodesia Great Again
End Eurocide
Fight back against Europhobic bigotry
It's Okay to Be White
White Lives Matter
We Can't Restore Western Civilization With non-Western Babies
We Have a Patriotic Duty to Stop Genocide Against our People
Oppose Those Who Would Defame Our History and Rich Cultural Heritage.
Stop Eurocide.
Fight back against Europhobia and Anglophobia.
Say NO to White Genocide
Multiculturalism is the Replacement of European peoples
We Must Secure the Existence of our People and a Future for White Children
Because the Beauty of the White Aryan Woman Must Not Perish From the Earth
Blacks owe Whites Reparations
Diversity is a Code Word for White Genocide
Anti-Racist is a Code Word for Anti-White

Our world is indebted to the Brown Jobs who kept Rhodesia free for so many years.
Three cheers for all those soldiers out there who did the dirty work!
Fun song for all those soldiers who fought in the infantry
Bravo to the brave "brown jobs" who fought for freedom and Western Civilizaiton in Rhodesia
I love the humor in the songs by John Edmond. It must have been a great source of comfort and comradery to the Rhodesian troops.
