Fighting Men of Rhodesia: Lt Barry Stranack, Selous Scouts. Episode 251 by John Van Zyl

Barry Stranack was born in Durban, South Africa in 1945, and grew up in the then Rhodesia. Barry served with the Rhodesian Light Infantry, the renowned 5 Command 'Wild Geese' of the Congo, the Rhodesian Regiment and the counter insurgency Special Forces Rhodesian Selous Scouts. He was also noted for being a Karate practioner and Sensei. After a long military career he studied Chiropractic in the UK. His passion is writing spy and counterintelligence novels which are mostly based on fact. He now lives in Pretoria, South Africa.

Barry and his fellow fighting men fought in the Rhodesian Bush War. It was an epic "good vs. evil" struggle between communist terrorists backed by China, North Korea, Cuba, and the Soviet Union, and Christian Europeans. They won every major battle, often with seemingly incredible casualty ratios. However, they were betrayed by the infiltration of Western Nations: the Propaganda Press, Marxist Media, Closet Commies, Loxist Liars, and Bolshevik Bureaucrats. A supposedly "Democratic Election" resulted in a Maoist president, and Free Rhodesia changed to Zimbabwe.

Rhodesia was a wonderful, prosperous country that was known as the "Breadbasket of Africa." You could say it was a real-life Wakanda: an advanced African country that had intelligent, hardworking people that contributed greatly to humanity. After the Communists won, the country quickly reverted to barbarism, and using Wesern Aid money to enrich the ruling class and pay off the Chinese. A first world food exporter became a third world food importer full of trash, poverty, and starvation.
