The Whenwe Song - "They Don't Forget So Why Should We" (Song by John Edmond About the Rhodesian Bush War)
This fun but profound song captures some of the biggest wins in the Rhodesian Bush War. It's chorus asks the question that since the British remember their battles and wars, why shouldn't Rhodesians also remember their victories? Indeed they should, and all should look on Rhodesia and learn from their history, and the disaster that followed when it was forced to become Zimbabwe.
The Rhodesians won every major battle in the Bush War, often with seemingly incredible casualty ratios. However, they were betrayed by the infiltration of Western Nations: the Propaganda Press, Marxist Media, Closet Commies, Loxist Liars, and Bolshevik Bureaucrats. A supposedly "Democratic Election" resulted in a Maoist president, and Free Rhodesia changed to Zimbabwe.
Rhodesia was a wonderful, prosperous country that was known as the "Breadbasket of Africa." In many ways it was a real-life Wakanda: an advanced African country that had intelligent, hardworking people that made significant contributions to humanity and the entire world. After the Communists took over, the country quickly reverted to barbarism, and used Wesern Aid money to enrich the ruling class and pay off the Chinese. A first world food exporter became a third world food importer full of trash, poverty, and starvation.

Lyrics:
-------
Whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, whenwe, when when we...
When we cross the mighty Pungwe
The gooks were righty angry
When we caught them with their pants down on parade...
When we visited Chimoio
They weren't full of joy-o
'Cause we messed up all the killing plans they made...
When we flew beneath the radar
With the guts of Douglas Bader
When we dropped the fireworks at Westlands Farm...
When we popped into Lusaka
And made a quick departure
'Cause we weren't there to visit or to charm...
R:They don't forget their Poppy Day, the Battle of the Boyne
And many worthless anniversary
They don't forget their May Day, V-E and V-J Day
They don't forget so why in the hell should we?
When we crossed the world embargos
And we still got our cargos
Like Boeing 720s and the like...
When we got a note of thanks
For the great big Russian tanks
That we hijacked somewhere in the pale moonlight...
When we made our own munitions
And security inventions
When we sent the kids to school with gun in hand...
When we thought it's just a trifle
For a girl to tote a rifle
'Twas just a daily routine in our land...
R:They don't forget their Poppy Day, the Battle of the Boyne
And many worthless anniversary.
They don't forget their May Day, V-E and V-J Day
They don't forget so why in the hell should we?
When we buried trooper Brading
And did our last parading
When we moved the Troopie statue to the south...
When we joined the other nations
We retain associations
And suggest that any critic shut his mouth...
When we stop just to remember
On The 11th of November...
When we think of fallen comrades on that day...
When we think of all the sad times,
We think of all the glad times
Rhodesians never die - that's what they say!
R:They don't forget their Poppy Day, the Battle of the Boyne
And many worthless anniversary.
They don't forget their May Day, V-E and V-J Day
They don't forget so why in the hell should we?
Notes:
Chimoio refers to Operation Dingo, where less than 250 Rhodesian ground troops and Air Force members attacked a Comunist Terrorist camp with over 10,000 people. The Rhodesia special forces had only two killed and 6 wounded, while 1200-3000 Communists were killed or seriously injured over the course of 24 hours.
"Trooper Brading" refers to Trooper Anthony Brading who was killed in Operation Birch by an ambush by Communist insurgents. Also in that ambush, Lieutenant Bruce Snelgar and Trooper McMaster were injured. However, the operation was overall a success that took place January - March, 1970. Seven Marxist invaders were killed, 2 were wounded, 1 defected, and 13 were captured, including Phinias Majuru, the ZIPRA Director of Operations / Chief of Operations for Joshua Nkomo.
"Douglas Badar" was a British WW2 ace who used prosthetic legs after an airplane crash before the war necessitated amputation. He was also noted for his many attempted escapes after he was captured, and the great respect for him among both allied and German aviators. The Rhodesian pilots exhibited similar courage by flying into heavily defended areas without sufficient escorts.
"Lusaka" and "Westlands Farms" refer to Operation Gatling, which was raid deep into Zambia, and near it's capitol of Lusaka, which destroyed Communist Terrorist training camps through combined air and land attacks. The Rhodesians suffered one death and three injuries, while inflicting close to 3,000 deaths of both Marxist Insurgents and Cuban advisors, and the capture of ZIPRA Logistics Officer Mountain Guru

The commies in Western governments betrayed Rhodesia
The Rhodesian Troopers were fully deserving of accolades, and we should keep their memory alive.
