Hegel Phenomenology of Spirit Lecture 40 Absolute Knowing

As we reach the 40th and final section of the text, we are able to say that we have reached "Absolute Knowing," but only in the literal sense that this is the name of this final chapter. Hegel surprises the reader by revealing that Absolute Knowing actually is not the end of the story but is instead a transition from the Phenomenology to Hegel's Logic, by allowing us to shift from shapes of consciousness to pure notions.
