The Impact Crater in Canada; Mistastin Crater
One of the most spectacular impact craters on the planet is located in part of Newfoundland and Labrador within Canada. The impact crater in question is oblong, measuring 31 kilometers long and 26 kilometers wide. It is Located within a remote section of forest, the impact crater in question is called Mistastin Crater, which formed from a massive asteroid slammed into the planet more than 35 million years ago. This video will discuss how this ancient impact crater formed, and how frequently similar impacts occur on the planet. This video was made by a geologist who is based in Arizona.
