For just a few Dollars to boot... An RF choke can save the day for field radio operations where you do not necessarily control all aspects of your antenna system and common-mode currents can wreck havoc on electronics, and even your fingers! Use an FT-114-31 with six turns of RG-174 or RG-316. You can also use eight turns with an FT-140-43. For more power handling you can use an FT-240-31 or FT-240-43 but I do not know the number of turns (RG-402). Do not ask me about other types of toroids, I don't know, and those are the best suited for the task. The choke is to be placed near the radio... Help this site: https://www.patreon.com/radioprepper
