GRANTOR is not necessarily the one to be "protected". The TRUSTEE is also a protected party relative to liability. Her advise that a "friend" be the Trustee, is the WORST ADVISE EVER. WHO has the greatest interest in protecting YOUR PROPERTY? Is it not YOU??? If that is the case, then YOU need to be Trustee controlling your property, and a friend can be the Grantor who sets up the Trust according to YOUR INSTRUCTIONS. Otherwise you must go to your "friend" Trustee to do business for every little thing regarding the Trust Property and Bank Account, to which YOU have NO ACCESS. Do you think he will tolerate your requests without getting PAID handsomely??? Think again.
FURTHERMORE, in WHAT COUNTRY would this so-called "international trust" be DOMICILED? You would have to FLY THERE to defend your Trust. She does not say.
