The Patience Of Christ

The longing hearts of many believers for the return of our blessed Lord can be expressed in the words of Judges 5:28, “Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why tarry the wheels of his chariot”? The multiplicity of violence and corruption upon the earth today, coupled with increased testings of various kinds, may also tend to produce the spirit of impatience for our final deliverance to the spiritual heart. “Lord, When are you coming? Why do you not come today?” may often be expressed. This is where our need for patience appears. We need the prayerful exhortation of Paul —” The Lord Direct Your Hearts into the Love of God, and Into the Patience of the Christ” — (2 Thess. 3:5 JND).
