Incredible footage shot by a drone in the flood-hit Liege suburb of Vaux-Sous-Chevremont, Belgium shows a home gutted by flames as the home and those nearby are inundated with floodwaters.

More than 1,000 people have been reported missing in Germany and neighbouring Belgium following intense rains, which have caused rivers and reservoirs to burst their banks and triggered landslides, washing away cars and destroying homes.

Some 114,000 homes have been left without power and mobile phone service in Germany and in both countries roads have been made impassable by the raging floodwaters.
