California earthquake Today: Magnitude 3.5 earthquake strikes near Santa Rosa | February 25, 2021

The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.5 quake in the United States near Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California,. The earthquake hit in the morning on Thursday 25 February 2021 at 11:30 am local time at a very shallow depth of 1.2 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 3.5 earthquake as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Cobb, located 5 miles from the epicenter.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Cloverdale, located 11 miles from the epicenter, Clearlake, 14 miles away, Windsor, 19 miles away, Santa Rosa, 27 miles away, Ukiah, 31 miles away, and Rohnert Park, 34 miles away. In Petaluma, 42 miles away, and Napa, 46 miles away, the quake was probably not felt.
