Alaska Earthquake Today: Magnitude 4.3 earthquake strikes near Juneau, Alaska | February 24, 2021
The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 4.3 quake in the United States near Juneau, Alaska. The earthquake hit early morning on Wednesday 24 February 2021 at 3:10 am local time at a very shallow depth of 0.4 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.1 earthquake. According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage.
