Being Born Again - What does it Really Mean?
How can we truly be 'born again', the way that Jesus calls us to be?
Joh_3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be ((born)) again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Strongs:- BORN : -ghen-nah'-o
From a variation of G1085; to procreate (properly of the father, but by extension of the mother); figuratively to regenerate: - bear, beget, be born, bring forth, conceive, be delivered of, gender, make, spring. of, gender, make, spring. I hope you can see that the word translated "Born" was also used for the word begat, It can be used for anything from conception to actual delivery. When Jesus Cornelius came to Jesus, he was a child of the old covenant, who believed he had access to the Kingdom of God because of circumcision, etc. Jesus was making known to him that He did not have t automatic entry into the Kingdom of God because of birth and circumcision and law keeping. The Bible says Jesus was God's only begotten Son. God was the one that cause Jesus conception. He never said Jesus was His born son, before Jesus's death why? That was because Jesus was still flesh and blood. Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. We are flesh, not spirit, well not yet. 1Co_15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.... Jesus was declared the son of God, when He was His body was made incorruptible again. Rom_1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, ((by the resurrection from the dead:)). If you have the spirit of God living in you then indeed you are begotten of God. as His word says. 1Jn_3:9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; ..... You will be born into His Kingdom, at the first resurrection when we will be changed , and this mortal will put on immortality. That will be when you are ((born)), again, no longer just begotten. Then you will see Jesus as He is because you will be like Him and have a Spirit body.
