Being Born Again - What does it Really Mean?

Thanks for checking out the video. What did you think of it? I found it hard to work out if you agreed with it's message or not by your comment. Feel free to share any thoughts or questions you have on the video.

@Overcome Death: I did not agree with it. The vid propose that being born again is something that happens when we are still flesh, and that it only means "leaving behind your religious system, and listening to Jesus instead" This is what is believed in mainstream Christany, and many go along with it because it sounds nice, and right. But it is not what the Bible says. One must repent, that is to change not just feel sorry, but to stop what one has been doing ,and do right. What is right? it is righteousness. What is righteouness? Psa 119:172  My tongue shall speak of thy word: for (((all thy commandments are righteousness))). Oh, that's old testament, many christians say , we do not have to do that today. But is that what the bible says, What did Jesus actualy say. Mat_5:17  "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.So Christ says he has not destroyed the law. The bible also says Rom_2:13  (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; So we have to stop lying stealing hating ( the spirit behind murder) coveting etc. And worship God according to His dictates not how we think we should. He gives us His Holy spirit , which is the power to stop sinning, but even then we are only begotten children of God. When we are changed into immortals the we will be born again. Born into His world to be like Christ, and have a spirit body that cannot die. This has been God's intent for man from the begining. But first we have to be mortal, so that we can choose of our own free will if we will obey God, or choose to do our own thing.

@Mememe: Well funnily enough, I agree with a lot of what you are saying, e.g. the doers are justified, we need to become like Christ in our actions, we do need to stop being dishonest for the sake of our own personal gain, Jesus fulfilled the law, we need to repent and do what is right instead of wrong... What are some of the commands you believe Jesus has told us to adhere to?

@Overcome Death: @Overcome Death: So rry for taking so long to get back. I believe Jesus was the one that gave the 10Commandments, so we should be keeping all of them. These verse Prove that Jesus was the God of the old testament. Joh_5:37  And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. Joh_1:18  No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. 1Co_10:4  and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.. Christ says no one has heard the Fathers voice, or seen His shape, Yet in the Exodus, God had a marriage supper with the 70 elders of Israel. Moses saw His shape and heard His voice, Yet Exo_33:11  And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. So if it was not God the Father that spoke from the Mountain, It must have Been God the son, before He emptied Himself of His glory, and came to earth as a mortal so that He could pay the penalty of our sins in His flesh. So He confirmed , and glorified the commandments He gave , when He replied to the question "Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?" He saidn Mat 19:17  So He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments."  Mat 19:18  He said to Him, "Which ones?" Jesus said, " 'YOU SHALL NOT MURDER,' 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY,' 'YOU SHALL NOT STEAL,' 'YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS,'  Mat 19:19  'HONOR YOUR FATHER AND YOUR MOTHER,' and, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' "  I also keep the Holy days He, His diciples, Paul, and the early church kept, and abstain from unclean meat/fish and clean meats offerd to Idols. Also from consuming blood and fat.The Law of Love is kept to God and all men.

I agree that we should be keeping the commands which Jesus has given us, but do you think that Jesus made clearer God's expectations for us through what He said in the four gospels (when you compared it to what was written in the Old Testament)? - http://bit.ly/3TloKTw
