Yes really! The Half-Wave End-Fed is my favorite antenna and for good reasons. Here I build a very small 64:1 transformer in a 3D-printed case, with a description of the design. Worth watching until the end ;-) Note that a 64:1 is better for lower bands, say 30m and below, while a 49:1 is better for upper bands. With such a small toroid, better use three turns primary for either, otherwise, for an FT-140-43 or bigger, if you want to go up to 6m, use two turns primary (14 total).
