Pretty sweet setup. Ironically, I think we would have done much better with an updated M3 grease guns in Viet Nam than with the attempt to transition to the then M-16. Would have fit the smaller stature ARVN soldiers much better than the M1 and M14 that were too big for them. Also, it would have made patrols through jungle bush easier, and allow more ammo to be carried. Given the problems with the M16 jamming (caused by Army politics) it would have been a more reliable option.
