"Therefore, the U.S. citizens residing in one of the states of the union, are classified as property and franchises of the federal government as an 'individual entity'." - Wheeling Steel Corp. v. Fox, 298 U.S. 193, 80 L.Ed. 1143, 56 S. Ct. 773

Here, "U.S. citizens" are those "subject to the jurisdiction thereof [of the District of Columbia]". Who are subject to the federal government as franchises?

Am Jur 2689 "Who is born in United States and subject to United States jurisdiction" - "A person is born subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, for purposes of acquiring citizenship at birth, if his or her birth occurs in territory [not states] over which the United States is sovereign."
1) The "United States" mentioned here is obviously the "District of Columbia", because the true de jure National Government that was created by the Constitution NEVER granted sovereignty over the people.
2) Also, the "District of Columbia" is not a state of the Union
