‘Woke’ councils pushing against fossil fuels an ‘abuse of ratepayers' money’

Sky News host James Morrow says “woke” councils lobbying against fossil fuels is an “abuse of ratepayers' money”.

Mr Morrow told Sky News host Peta Credlin councillors need to stick to “rates, roads, and rubbish.”

“They do not need to have all of this sort of thing – the anti-fossil fuels. They don’t have an energy policy, they’re a council,” Mr Morrow said.

“They don’t need to have a foreign policy on Israel like Marrickville Council did about ten years ago, they’re a council.

“It is an abuse of ratepayers' money by people who are on council but think they’re too good to be on council.”
