Winter Woodworking Intro: Cold Steel in Cold Weather

Strapping on snowshoes and plowing through 3+ feet of deep powder, a friend and I took a short trek into the snowy mountain woods for some cold weather testing of three Cold Steel chopping tools. The choppers we played with were the Special Forces Shovel, the Trail Hawk, and the Trail Boss, all of which performed marvelously with the improved edge I gave to each of them. Separate videos for each tool are forthcoming, showing the individual performance of each tool in this beautiful winter environment. We made a concerted effort to demonstrate safe, efficient axe technique on this outing, for our benefit, and for the benefit of anyone watching who may be new to axes.
