What we used before trail cameras

The "track trap" or "track pit" is one of the tricks we used to give us a little snapshot into the type of deer (and other critters) we had in our area. Nothing is better than good old fashion scouting, but this is one tool you can use to get started! Also, check your state's game laws to make sure when/if you can put out bait or attractants. Here in TN, you can put out bait, but it has to be completely removed for at least ten days before you can hunt the area where it was placed.
