The Holy Name of Jesus, at which every knee will bend in heaven, on earth and in hell, is immeasurably powerful to save. Jesus promised that whatsoever we should ask of the Father in His Name would be given to us; for this reason, the Church concludes all her prayers by invoking that Name. The Holy Name of Jesus is powerful to save both individuals and nations: it was by invoking the Holy Name of Jesus, under the leadership of Saint John Capistrano, that the outnumbered Hungarian Christians gained victory over the Turks in the Battle of Belgrade in 1456.
