The Gap Between You and God

Is their a gap between You and God and if their is how can you close that gap?

1 Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not. 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it dos not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 3 And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure. 1 John 3:1-3

What does that word mean purifies?

Purify = the removal of contaminants, the process of making something spiritually or ceremonially clean.

Sometimes gaps are a good thing?

Second it doesn’t stop very fast so you need to keep a large gap between you and the car in front of you, again sometimes gaps are good?

The Apostle John tell us that any gap between you and God is a bad gap and you must work diligently to close that gap..

John says every Christian that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
