Students vulnerable to brainwashing as educators focus on 'rewriting history': Bernardi
The focus of modern education on “social experiments and rewriting history” has left a cohort of school students with low literacy levels vulnerable to brainwashing, says Sky News host Cory Bernardi.
“As a rule, our education system is focused on social experiments and rewriting history, rather than the building blocks that fuel progress in higher learning,” he said.
“One university professor told me that today's uni entrants have the literacy skills of a year 9 student of years past.
“Those low standards, enable the effective brainwashing of our next generation of adults.
“If you can't effectively critique and question what you are told, you will simply accept it.
“It has spawned what academic Kevin Donnelly describes as ‘a rainbow alliance of cultural-left theories including deconstructionism, postmodernism and radical feminist, gender, queer and post-colonial theories’.”
