Rubber Boa Snake in Northern Utah

While out archery elk hunting I found this Rubber Boa snake. Rubber Boa snakes are not a common snake to see in Northern Utah but there are a few around in the higher altitude locations of Utah. This is only the second Rubber Boa I have seen in my life to date. If there is such a thing as a cool snake this is the variety of snake that gets my vote.

Very rare and tame title guys . I have found 5 in over 50 years of hunting and hiking .three in Calif and the last two both on the east side of Logan peak on the way up .All five have been above 7,000 feet .
