There are some great .45 ACP combat pistols. Add the Sig P227 to the list. It improves upon the venerable and mostly loved Sig P220 by having more firepower. 10+1 or 14+1 Rounds to be exact. That's a substantial improvement in this hard hitting cartridge. The 10 round mag fits flush. I have given a by for a 8 round mag in old fashioned guns like the 1911 but I am less apt to do so in a more modern design like the Sig. As discussed, my affinity for the combat proven P226 carries over to the P227 and TNP testing showed identical, flawless performance. In several POUs, the P227 will serve you well if your system SAWC permits .45 ACP integration. The E2 ergos, size, weight, balance, feel, trigger, firepower, magazine modifications, durability, accuracy, and accessories are discussed with plenty of shooting footage shown to back up these conclusions. Value is good but the P227 is expensive as many Sigs are. Sometimes the best always is.///////////////////////Nutnfancy Likability Scale: 10 out of 10 (with discussed trigger mod; also trigger has smoothed out with more rounds, pulling 4.5 lbs!)
