MATERIALS YOU'LL NEED:
-Smudge Stick Types:
Sage: Cleansing, purifying, spiritual warfare, good for all around use
Cedar: Support, structure, security
Palo Santo: Blessings, to consecrate a space, spiritually related practices
Mugwort: Travelers plant, astral projection
*Essential oils can be added to any of these

-A lighter or candle
-A place to catch the ash

Steps for Intended Connection:
1. Set your intentions
2. Open windows and doors to the space if possible.
3. Starting at the entryway to the space, while looking out, speak your mantra with authority as you make a complete circle in the entryway with your smudge stick.
A mantra is your intention summed up in a smooth sentence that aligns with your goal for the smudging practice.
a. For Spiritual Warfare: Call the dark entities out by name. Demon’s will give you
their name if you ask for it. Your power is gained when you speak with as much
accuracy to what you’re casting out of your space.
b. Tell the entities they have to leave. They must leave when we speak for they
no longer have our consent to be here. Anything not directly saying ‘no,’ ‘leave,’
or anything else like this the dark believes is consent we enter into whether or
not it’s done willingly or understood.
c. Mantra Example, “Anything that is not of love, light, and serving the highest
frequency for my family and I, be gone, for you are not welcome here.”
4. Make a complete circle of the space you’re smudging. Fans are a great way to spread the smoke. If you don’t feel complete peace in a room, continue the practice and filling the space with smoke until the intended connection of peace and cleansing has occurred. If you’re short on time, complete the entire practice, but come back as soon as you can to do another smudging.
