Praying in Public is for Hypocrites!

Jesus said that praying in public (well, praying out loud in public) is for hypocrites. So why is almost every church doing it? Jesus taught us how to pray. He said that silent prayer or secret prayer is the preferred option. Perhaps some of the supposedly "powerful" prayers we hear about in the churches are not even being heard by God. This may sound shocking, but it is straight from the teachings in the Sermon on the Mount.

Except those who are actually sincere and are inviting you to join them....in some cases now, with the internet, some are indeed sincere. But generally I think you can tell the hypocrite starkly stands out, if you have the discernment to see....and I do, because I have the gift of the Holy Ghost and can discern truth from error, light from dark, good from evil. My gift comes with my baptism and conformation from those who have authority from God in the true restored church of Jesus Christ. Come and investigate for yourself at: www.mormon.org/missionaries I know it is true and the gift of the Holy Ghost was an eye opening experience for me...I invite you to see for yourself.

Marylin, I invite you to use your discernment to see if we should obey Jesus when he said "You cannot be my disciple unless you forsake all that you own." and "You cannot work for both God and money". And how do you apply those teachings to your life?
