Poor in Spirit vs. New Age/World Soul

Man is a practitioner of witchcraft/rebellion, foolishly trying to ascend to the supremacy of the Lord God, through material and/or spiritual means. Minds clouded in pride cannot distinguish good and evil in the long run. Only those submitting to the holiness of His Spirit are renewed to think strait, narrowing the desires of the flesh. Serving the Lord with all faculties, those of Christ's kingdom can deny the whims of self exalted man and disguised demon.
