NASA's MOXIE vehicle produces oxygen on Mars. The American Space and Aviation Administration (NASA) sent the Perseverance rover to Mars with a device that can convert carbon dioxide into oxygen, just like trees on Earth do. The device, called the Mars Oxygen Field Sourcing Experiment (MOXIE), pulled carbon dioxide from the Martian atmosphere to produce its first oxygen.
