New Westminster Fire Today | Early morning fire rages in downtown New Westminster

New Westminster firefighters have been battling a stubborn blaze downtown this morning that has destroyed a commercial building.
Fire crews were called out at around 3 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of Columbia Street between Sixth and Fourth.
The fire is in a commercial building. The front of the building houses the Heritage Grill restaurant.
Columbia Street has been closed all morning due to the fire and people are being advised to stay away from the area by the New Westminster Police Department.
Firefighters from Coquitlam were brought in to assist. A ladder truck is being used to douse the building in water.
