The Ukrainian army suffers heavy losses in the Kherson region as Kiev tries for weeks to break through Russian defenses. This, as the region prepares for a referendum to join Russia. Moscow and Kiev exchange prisoners of war with Russian soldiers being swapped for Ukrainian servicemen including members of the AZOV battalion. South Africa's speaker at the UN General Assembly accuses the West of double standards. That's as the US criticizes Russia of violating UN principles. South Africa is strengthening military co-operation with Russia, as the country hosts the largest military expo on the continent.
Unfortunately I believe the U.S will refuse the to accept the result of the referendum with the excuse of the conflict and occupation by Russia as their reason. Another hypocrisy because they accepted the referendum of the West Papuan people who were voting at Indonesian Military gunpoint.
