Dating to the mid-to-late 1960s, this silent film shows various equipment mock-ups for the Apollo program, including motion range studies for spacesuits in mock-ups of Lunar Roving Vehicles or LVRs. It was probably shot at the Marshall Space Flight Center. The film is one of many made to demonstrate astronaut mobility. The spacesuit shown is an early (possibly first prototype) which International Latex Corporation submitted to NASA as part of the Apollo suit competition in 1962, known as an SPD-143 model suit, (SPD for Special Products Division). NASA referred to this suit as being part of the AX1-L series and often referred to as a "Modified Training and Evaluation Suit." The reason the suit looks strange to a modern viewer is that it does not have an outer shell, because the joint designs were considered in development and left exposed to allow further study.

The film begins with shots of a vehicle that resembles the base of a Cushman Titan, Cushman Haulster or similar, which was apparently being used as a testbed to demonstrate an astronaut's ability to move his hands, arms and feet in the AX1-L spacesuit. At 3:31, the vehicle is driven out of the test area, with a second person (in a business suit) on the back. (The compressed bottle on the rear of the vehicle is hard to read but appears to say "Air Water" and a third word. Possibly this was used to provide oxygen to the "astronaut" or for simulation purposes). At 4:02 the Haulster pulls up next to a larger Lunar Rover mobility test article created by Brown Engineering (now Teledyne Brown Engineering Company). This golf-cart-style, two-man vehicle was built at Werner von Braun's direction and famously test driven by Von Braun in 1966). At 4:20 there is a a demonstration of how a man in a spacesuit could enter the vehicle and access the mock-ups controls. At 6:09 the test article moves across simulated terrain.
