Moderate mag. 4.4 earthquake - South Kivu, Congo - Kinshasa, on Thursday, 25 Feb 2021

a 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck near Bukavu, South Kivu, Congo - Kinshasa. The tremor was recorded in the afternoon on Thursday 25 February 2021 at 4:29 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 10 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the United States Geological Survey, which listed it as a magnitude 4.4 earthquake as well.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Sake located 61 km from the epicenter, Kabare 63 km away, Bukavu 64 km away, Cyangugu 66 km away, and Gisenyi 73 km away.
