You can tell that you do not know much about firearms. First you call the (Magazine) a (Clip). Sure many TV shows do that also and one can see it was people just parrot what they hear. But then you say the young man can't carry a (High Powered) rifle (AK-47) in the open because it's not like having a (Hunting Rifle). Hunting rifles are More High Powered than the AK or AR style rifles. Typically hunters use the .30 Cal which is 7.62 mm same as the AK but the (Charge) Gunpowder that propelled it is much (Higher) in the Hunting Rifle making it the High Powered. Military small arms carbines main goal is to (Take a Fighter) out of the fight by wounding not a One Shot Kill which is what the Hunters goal is to do the One Shot Kill.

Thanks for the letting me know. The main point I was making was he had a high capacity magazine rifle in the open in our subway.

@Ash WE ARE THE NEWS (WATN): Yes the new yorkers laws would consider that a "High Capacity" magazine if it has the "Normal Capacity" of 30 rounds. Thank God I live in a Free State in the South.

@TwoFeather: We have a lot of guns here, the problem is many of them are illegal and in the wrong hands unfortunately. Been that way many decades.

@Ash WE ARE THE NEWS (WATN): Agree in the Wrong Hands. I don't know this guy or what his intentions were with the AK but I'm thinking he was using it out of fear to keep others away. Many places do require you to keep the ammo in a separate location from the firearm when traveling. But if he is in that much fear then he shouldn't be there.

@TwoFeather: If he was that scared of the city he should have stayed home, you can't open carry a long gun in the subway, only two living things are down there, rats and humans ;)
