So sad but we sold the ole Suzuki VStrom DL1000. It was a great bike but hard core desert adventures and gear testing bent two rims, that’s about $1000 in replacement costs! Add in low clearance, lower MPG than I needed in the desert, limited suspension travel, less power than I’d like, no ABS/traction control, no center stand, and more and it was time to upgrade to my long-lusted-after KTM 1190 Adventure (non R model preferred and better for almost all uses btw). But wait a sec. This thing’s supposed to be FAST and that’s why we’re willing to make payments on this expensive machine. Driving it for over 1000 miles with an Akropovic exhauset, EU MAP, and Unifiltire foam filter on it, it seemed slow to me and I was not happy. There’s only one way to know for sure: DYNO IT. You’ll see this interesting process with Dyno expert Rick Scoggan at Adrenaline Service show us the honest, no BS real results of this disappointing development. I have a handle on exactly what it is and it might be fixed…that will be shown in later episodes. But for now watch and feel our disappointment as the KTM 1190 Adventure turns in an embarrassing 106HP./////////////Contact Rick at Adrenaline Service and Dyno Tune 475 W 3600 S Salt Lake City, UT 84115; Phone: (435) 513-5425
