Here is a Simple Solution to the Problem!
Do not shop at any of these corrupt stores that do not care for customers but shop only at stores with good old fashioned grocery clerks and can pay with cash there.
If they do not have that option, walk out and never shop there again. When Aldi loses enough customers, they may finally wake up but then again, once a store tarnishes their reputation, people never, ever Forget.
