How To Reload 223 Ep6 - Powder Charging

Powder charging is one of the most vital and one of the most dangerous steps in reloading.

Carelessness in powder charging can result in squib loads (under powered charges that cause a bullet to not fully leave the barrel and get stuck) or max or double charges that can result in your gun blowing up.

Please do not take my methods for law, and follow them at your own risk. Do testing and double check your loads before committing to any information I provide here. I'm not responsible if you hurt yourself or damage property.

There are several options when it comes to how to dispense your powder. There are manual throwers where you pull a lever and drop the powder into a case, there are automatic case actuators like the Lee Precision powder measure with the double disk kit, there are automatic dispensers like the RCBS Chargemaster combo, etc.

Whichever your method, just make sure to double check your charges for safety and check the powder throw again a few times throughout production to make sure something hasn't changed.
