How to get Your Carry Conceal Weapons Permit in Costa Rica

First of all you need to be a resident.
it can take 3-6 months to go through the process.
Costs of total processing and requirements, about, $150-180.00. You actual cost may vary.
(my expenses may have been a little more because I live 4 hours from the capital San Jose, where most of the processing is done.)
Renewable every 2 years.

First go to a creditable class. There you will take a psychology exam, a written test and a practical shooting test.
Get photos and fingerprints.
Then to get a digital signature ID card.
Then go select your gun at gun store.
While it is being registered in your name,
Go get your ID to CCW cards.
Pick then up at the post office when ready.
Go pick up your weapon at the gun store.
