By means of the present, under the protection of article 4 of the Weapons and Explosives Law and its regulation, which establishes that Control and Inspection corresponds to the executive branch, through the Ministry of Public Security, as well as article 12 of the aforementioned law, which grants jurisdiction to the Department of Arms and Explosives Control to process requests for permits for the possession of firearms and may also deny, revoke or cancel the registration of firearms, as well as gun possession permits, for security reasons; and following the provisions of agreement 040-2018-MSP, published in the Official Gazette # 85, it is indicated that, in order to continue with the process of renewal of the possession of firearms, it must be submitted to the Department of Control of Weapons and Explosives with the firearm to which you are requesting renewal, within the non-extendable term of 15 working days, for physical review by one of the officials of this unit.

If the indicated term has not been presented, the transferee will proceed to reject the submitted application.
