Hiking Castlewood State Park in Ballwin,MO. Over 26 Miles hiking Trails. Gorgeous Views! Part 1
My daughter and I and the pups, explored Castlewood State Park. This is Part 1 of Exploring Castlewood State Park in Ballwin, MO. The park is on both sides of the Meramec river. In the early 1900s this was a hotspot type resort with a hotel, dancing and water fun. People would ride the train here. Today it has over 26 Miles of hiking trails, shelters, playground, Lots of picnic areas, and Tons of Trails. You can fish (bluegill, bass, catfish), hike, bike, walk, run, horse riding trails or whatever your heart desires. It's a great place for family get togethers. Just get out and do it! The trail we did today went straight uphill but is was so worth it because it had great views with the meramec river! Awesome views!
