I feed a NOE 255 Grain bullet through my Henry just fine. I use HP-38 powder with it but do not know the FPS the Henry was one of my first guns I reloaded for (and cast the bullets) and I did not have a chronograph then and have not bothered to do it know I just load some more up using my old data. It shoots accurate at 50 yards (the size of my range at home) I do know they move the steel targets around as well or better than the 357 Henry does.
What I do NOW when I am working up a new load is I also record the group size (paper plates to the rescue) for each load and then record in my my master book. I do know the Henry likes to be a little man handled if we do the lever to slow it sometimes causes a problem. I know this because my grand Daughter shoots the 45 Henry the most and when she was 8 it was a real problem but now that she is 13 she has no problems with it.
