The FN 509 Tactical Was FN's entry into the Army's modular pistol testing process several years back. Unfortunately for FN, SIG got the contract. The 509 is a striker fired optic ready pistol with 24 round magazines from the factory. It is a serious pistol for new and old owners alike with good ergonomics and ambidextrous controls. The one downfall the trigger is definitely heavy.

I was told the 509 breaks in while it’s in the box.
