Fire & Knives. Father & Son: TheLateBoyScout & HawkEyes Part 3
Safe knife handling is a basic skill everyone should have, and fire making is a skill just as crucial to learn. I firmly believe that children who are taught to harness these dangerous tools early in life will be better prepared, and less afraid when the time comes to use them later. There's no better tutor for a boy, when it comes to matters like this, than his own father - provided that father has some experience of his own, and having learned to harness these things myself, I decided it was time to pass some of these basic, fundamental skills on to my 6 year old son.
