    lol, maybe Aussie's can make some good spud cannons, they'd certainly counter the big rubber bullets, you get hit with a 3/4 lb potato traveling at +300 fps I don't care if you're wearing body armor.. its going to HURT! yes you CAN make one that will repeat fire quickly, sliding barrel cuts potato to fit in the breech.. gas and ignite, is a shot every 2-3 seconds, very simple.
