Cuba's president, Miguel Diaz-Canel, on Monday blamed the United States for the protests that swept his nation on Sunday, saying the embargo was strangling the country and hurting the people. Diaz-Canel, 61, also accused the U.S. of paying agitators within the country to stir up unrest. Mexico's president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador agreed that the embargo was causing unrest. But Joe Biden on Monday insisted that the protests be allowed to continue. And Anthony Blinken, the Secretary of State, said that it was wrong to point the finger at the United States.
