China’s Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) just achieved a significant milestone in the country’s quest to unlock clean and limitless energy. Chinese media reported that EAST ran at 120 million degrees Celsius for 101 seconds. For another 20 seconds, the 'artificial sun' also achieved a peak temperature of 160 million degrees Celsius.
