Afghanistan crisis: ISIS claims responsibility for deadly Kabul airport explosionsWARNING: This video contains disturbing content

An Afghanistan branch of the Islamic State claimed responsibility on Thursday for the deadly explosions in Kabul that killed at least 12 members of the U.S. military. At least 140 people were injured and 72 are dead as a result of the attack.

Of the American personnel killed, U.S. officials confirmed that 11 Marines and one navy medic were among the casualties. U.S. President Joe Biden has said those responsible for the attack will be punished.

Officials have said the attack will not stop the U.S. from its current evacuation efforts. But as Reggie Cecchini reports, the attack highlights how catastrophic the American withdrawal has been.
