This case came out on the last day of 2024 and everyone just kind of missed it Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, discusses the matter of United States v. Perez-Gallan, a huge ruling out of the 5th Circuit which has found the portions of 18 USC Sec, 922(g) that prohibits individuals who are under a domestic violence protection order from possessing a firearm. Considering that the 5th Circuit previously ruled that all of 18 USC Sec. 922(g) was unconstitutional, you see what a difference a year can make. Especially when during that year, the Supreme Court has soundly rejected your previous ruling. But this case has the potential to impact thousands of Americans which is why you should arm yourself with education today.
