How long does it take to reload ammunition? How much does it cost to reload ammunition? How much can I save by reloading ammunition?

All good questions that we will answer in this video.

This is the 4th video in this series on reloading or building ammunition for the 308 Winchester using a Lee Turret Press.

In the previous videos we performed the steps of preparing the cases for the build process. In this video we perform the final steps of

1. Seating the primer 11:21
2. Charging the case with powder
3. Seating the bullet
4. Crimping the case

We time these steps and then show you how long it took to build 20 cartridges.

We also will show you the cost to build these cases.

I’m not a preppier, but I enjoy reloading for two primary reasons: (1) to reduce the cost of my cartridges so that I can shoot more rounds, more often, and (2) to create a cartridge that will have a more consistent velocity (fps) and achieve a higher accuracy.

Really liked seeing your numbers. I am achieving very close to the same cost savings and my build times are also quite close to the numbers you displayed.

Great video. Thanks for putting this together.
