About
I am a fundamentalist baptist Christian and I believe the King James Bible is the inerrant Word of God in English. Romans 3 through 10 (inclusive), 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16, John 10:28-30, Revelation 20:15, and Revelation 21:8 explain the gospel and salvation. Repenting of your sins for salvation is not in the Bible, neither is proving salvation through works. Yes, we are to turn from our sins, and yes we are to do good works. No, there aren't any verses that say this is necessary for salvation. Hell is a literal, horrible place. Baptism in water does not save you, and original sin is not only not in the Bible, but it is debunked by Romans 7:9. People are born spiritually alive and remain that way until they understand right and wrong. We cannot lose our salvation (John 6:37, John 10:28-29) and works are not at all a part of salvation (Romans 4:5, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 11:6). Salvation in the Old Testament was also by grace through faith (Romans 4:3, Hebrews 10:10-14). Not cheap grace, free grace. And no, asking for a gift doesn't make it not free anymore, you're still paying nothing for it. Therefore, Romans 10:9-14 is to be understood literally as it is plainly stated. If you disagree, feel free to leave a comment or message me. I'm happy to try to change your mind! : )
