One of the biggest independent geo politics channels "stormcloudsgathering" has already been forced to quit YouTube because of their demonetization campaign against 95% of his videos that exposes the Illuminati/NWO/USA shadow government actions in Syria.

To research, fact-check, download material, edit the material, make it educational and interesting to watch takes a lot of time, and he could not continue to do it any longer because of the demonetizations.

Most big channels such as Pewdiepie and Markipiler have already admitted on video that they would not be able to make their videos if they were not paid for it. So yes, most people only produce content because they are earning money equal to or more than a full time job.
